Description
The U.S. Agency for International Development in Iraq (USAID/Iraq)is seeking applications for a civil society project that will bolster Iraqs transition to a sustainable, participatory democracy by strengthening the civil society sector. The project will pursue the overarching objective of increasing citizen input into Iraqs development through the following components: 1) increased democratic engagement of citizens; 2) increased institutional capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs); 3) increased impact of civil society on public policy; and 4) improved enabling environment for civil society. Through a fifth Special Projects component, the project to manage the Marla Ruzicka Iraqi War Victims Fund.
