USAID’s Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment (“Transform”)
Description
USAID’sWomen’s Economic and Social Empowerment (“Transform”) activity seeks to reducethe gender gap in economic and social opportunities between Pakistani men andwomen. This project will work primarilyin the Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NMD/KP, the formerFederally Administered Tribal Areas), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), as well as otherpriority geographies to help women earn higher incomes, reduce inequality ineconomic and social participation, and reduce gender-based violence. Successful completion of this activity willcreate a more supportive environment for women's political, social, andeconomic empowerment. USAID seeksresults-based, cost-effective, and creative solutions from local andinternational development partners and the private sector to achieve theseobjectives.
