The Department of State’s Office of Global Criminal Justice (J/GCJ) works to prevent atrocities, mitigate their effects, and foster justice and accountability to enhance respect for human dignity and stability worldwide. GCJ seeks to strengthen justice processes to redress atrocity crimes committed during armed conflict and under repressive regimes. GCJ seeks applications for one award to support the implementation of the justice and accountability components of Human Rights Council resolution 46/1 “Promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka.”
